REPERE
REPERE consists in an evaluation campaign for multimedia information processing systems. More specifically, it deals with person recognition within TV programs. On the organization side, two partners are funded by the DGA (Direction Générale de l’Armement) : the LNE (Laboratoire national de métrologie et d’essais) organizes the campaign while ELDA is producing the evaluation data : acquisition of broadcasted programs, audio & text transcription, Named Entities annotation, head localization, head description & identification...
On the participant side, three consortia are funded by the French research agency ANR and involve the major French-speaking actors of the domain : Universities of Aix-Marseille, Avignon and Lille, Orange Labs, LIMSI, GREYC, INRIA-LEAR, LIG/UJF, Vocapia Research, Yacast, KIT/UKA, LIUM, IDIAP...
An evaluation run was organized every year on January (2012, 2013, 2014). REPERE ended up in August 2014.
